Weddings are expensive, so why pay extra for an engagement shoot?

We like to treat your wedding like a film shoot, we pay as much attention to your venue as we do to you in order to get the very best images possible. This requires preparation - something that we hold in very high regard.

You have to be able to trust us, that's very important, and so a couples engagement shoot prior to your wedding is a great way for you to get to know us. It's great if this can happen at your venue, then we can discuss areas that we will use, and the types of photographs that we will take, so that there aren't any surprises on your day.

If, for any reason, we cannot meet at your venue then we will do our research, and if possible a venue recce by ourselves, well before your wedding day and discuss any plans or ideas that we have with you in advance so that we all know what to expect on the day. We will also liaise with your venue manager, or wedding planner, to make sure we have all the information possible to ensure a stress free day for you both.

We can do an engagement shoot pretty much anywhere, it doesn't have to be at your venue, but its great when we can combine the two. 

Camera shy?

If you are uncomfortable in front of a camera, or think that you 'don't take a good photo', please don't worry, almost half of the couples we meet say they hate being photographed and we have captured the most beautiful and joyful images of them - because that's what your wedding day will be, beautiful and joyful. We aim to make you as relaxed in front of the camera as possible.

If we can't meet with you in person, or do an engagement shoot because of time or distance, then we will talk to you several times before your wedding day so that we can make sure we all get along and we've answered any questions that you may have and you both feel confident and relaxed.

An added Bonus

As well as being as prepared as possible for your wedding you have the added bonus of a set of beautiful photographs of you both in your normal clothes. Most couples don't have studio, or outdoors photo shoot sessions, in every day life, and these photographs can be lovely keepsakes, and make special gifts for loved ones. If we do your shoot well in advance of your wedding, you can also use these images on your personal wedding website, or even in your invitations. If you want to really plan ahead you can bring some props or costumes and shoot your family Christmas card at the same time!
