Consider a post wedding shoot

A more relaxed kind of photography

How about the morning after the night before? If fuzzy heads don't rule the day then why not put back on the wedding outfits and have a private couples shoot in the grounds of your venue, or a special place nearby such as a forest, moorland or the beach?

Think Vegas, think the Rat Pack, think 'we've been up all night and seen the sunrise'. Loose ties, relaxed hair, barely there make-up, bare feet and zero pressure!

We first offered this shoot to a couple whose wedding ran over time in the church, and by the time we got back to their reception venue the caterers wanted to serve dinner. So, by way of compromise, we shortened our shoot - so as not to ruin their wedding breakfast - but sadly we did not get the images we all wanted. By the time the dinner and speeches had finished, we were losing light and it had started to rain. We set up indoors, in front of the grand fireplace, and the images were lovely, but there were so many lakes, bridges and manicured gardens outside that we just couldn't take advantage of, so we asked the couple if we could come back the next morning for a private shoot and they said yes.

We arrived and our couple were relaxed and happy, they'd had a good nights sleep following a fantastic day, and were delighted to put back on their wedding outfits and wander the grounds. The previous days inhibitions had vanished, the sun shone down on us and we spent a couple of hours after breakfast taking advantage of the grounds and lakes of Hodsock Castle. These photographs are amongst our favourites from this particular wedding.
